The National Child Protection Authority
Chairperson Anoma Dissanayake in an interview with the Sunday
Observer says the laws proposing capital punishment for child
rapists is expected to come before Parliament shortly. She says the
proposal now before Cabinet will be a landmark step towards
protecting children in the country.
