The super strong South African team thrashed the
local favourites Sri Lanka by 33 runs in a shortened game of 7
overs. It was a downright pathetic performance by Sri Lanka and they

Australia beat West Indies by 17 runs acording
to the Duckworth Lewis method in another rain-curtailed match in
their 2012 ICC Twenty20 Group ‘B’ match played at the R Premadasa
Stadium, Colombo last night. Australia set a target of 192 after
West Indies scored 191 batting first.

Lanka sevens team lose both matches
The Sri Lanka sevens team lost both matches on
the first day of the Shanghai Rugby sevens in Shanghai, China
yesterday. Confronting Korea in their first match the Sri Lankans
went down fighting by 12 points (one goal, one try) to 17 (one goal,
two tries) after the scores read five-all at half time.
