Skills Malaysia launched
The Department of Skills Development of the Ministry of Human
Resources of Malaysia launched the Skills Malaysia Invite program last
week to provide an educational career and to enhance occupational skills
for youth.Skills Development Malaysia Director, Dr. Mohamad Bin Sulaiman
said that the program will provide a unique opportunity for Sri Lankan
youth to increase global employability through industrial training in
Malaysia.
The program is designed for students and those employed to enhance
their occupational and professional skills in cookery, food and
beverage, house-keeping, front office management, mechanical training,
electrical automotive, electrical engineering, robotics,
telecommunication, broadcasting, information technology, transportation
and logistics, printing and packaging, pharmaceuticals, building and
construction.
“Malaysia which has emerged as an economic giant in Asia is a
destination for overseas education. The program has a curriculum with a
global perspective that provides students a Malaysian qualification and
an international certification.
The educational program offers internship opportunities and enables
students to build industry links with leading Malaysian organisations.
The program offers a comprehensive technical and vocational training led
by experts of the industry which is based on the National Occupational
Skills Standard”, a spokesman for the company said.
