Unilever and MoD launch cycling club

The Ministry of Defence and Urban Development with Unilever Sri Lanka launched the Colombo Cycling Club at Independence Square, Colombo on Wednesday.

Unilever Sri Lanka, Chairman Amal Cabraal handed over the new bicycle renting booth with 25 bicycles and equipment to the Secretary of Defence and Urban Development, Gotabaya Rajapaksa.

The Colombo Cycling Club will be managed by the Ministry of Defence and Urban Development.

The funds collected by the club will be channelled to the Api Wenuwen Api fund.

Unilever Sri Lanka, Director Marketing Asanga Ranasinghe said that the Colombo Cycling Club will help promote fitness and a healthy lifestyle.
