Sivamma Dhanapala relaunched

The popular satirical stage drama Sivamma Dhanapala was relaunched on its anniversary, on Friday, November 16 at the Colombo City Hotel.

The drama is produced by Chrishantha Hettiarachchi. Veteran journalist Edwin Ariyadasa said it will be presented with a new cast. He emphasised the need for producing more stage shows with a humorous vein which would provide the audience with merriment and laughter and increase their lifespan.

Media Centre for National Security Director General Lakshman Hulugalle also spoke at the ceremony, while several artistes and guests graced the occasion.

Tennyson Cooray who plays the main role in the new production provided entertainment by performing a witty part in his role.

Minister Jeewan Kumaratunga's surprise visit at the inauguration was much appreciated.

The Associated Newspapers of Ceylon Limited (ANCL) Director Editorial, Seelarathna Senerath compered the event.
