Sri Lanka win six medals in China

Sri Lanka won six medals at the ninth Zhengzhou China International
Shaolin Wushu Festival held in Zhengzhou, China recently.
Three players from Sri Lanka participated in the 72-nation
competition with the participation of 700 competitors from all over the
world. It was an honour to the country as the Lankan trio won medals in
their respective events. Hilbern International School's Thilina
Hasaranga Pushpakumara won a silver medal and a bronze in the under-12
event while his schoolmate Mahisha Sri Jayani clinched a Silver and a
Bronze in her under-12 event. Chamaridu Janith Sirimanna of Seethawaka
National School brought two Bronze medals in two events also in the
under-12 age category.
Sri Lanka team was coached by Senior Wushu Instructor and Wushu
Instructor of Hilbern International School network Sunil Jayatissa.
