Lanka. |
"The new role has given a wider spectrum of opportunities and
strategic plans will be in place to make Dell, the market leader. We are
working as a dynamic team to ensure our end goals are reached within the
timeframe," recently appointed Dell Country Manager Lackshmindra said.
With the setting up of the Dell office two years ago to cater
exclusively for Dell customers, the company expects to make an impact in
the market in terms of sales volumes and revenue, he said.
"We have seen a shift in the way technology and data access is
consumed. It is no longer about the device or technology, it's about the
overall experience of enabling users to do more. To ensure that we're at
the forefront of the industry, Dell is transitioning from a PC company
to a provider of end-to-end solutions and services," said Dell's General
Manager for the South Asia Developing Markets Group, Harjeet Singh
Rekhi.
"With Lackshmindra's expertise and proven track record, we are
confident that we will be able to help our Sri Lankan customers drive
business outcomes and create competitive advantage through innovative
and practical solutions," he said.
Lackshmindra is an IT veteran with 20 years experience ranging from
channel management and marketing, sales enablement, retail sales and
product marketing. He has worked with Government ICT policy makers and
contributed significantly towards the nation's ICT initiatives which
focus on technology adoption and bridging the digital divide. Prior to
joining Dell, Lackshmindra was Country Manager, Personal Systems Group
at Hewlett-Packard Lanka Ltd. and later served as the Regional Business
Head, Retail Business, Asia's Emerging Countries for Hewlett-Packard.
