University admissions in March

The Ministry of Higher Education has made arrangements to admit new students to universities by 27th March 2013.The admission of students to universities for the year 2011-2012 was postponed due to unavoidable circumstances in the recent past.

However, the Minister of Higher Education S.B. Dissanayake has already instructed the University Grants Commission and relevant vice chancellors to take measures to admit new students to universities by 27th March 2013.

Under the third stage of providing leadership training to new undergraduates, a set of students will be selected and they would undergo their leadership training program from 12th February. 2013 said Deputy Director of Education W.M. Balasooriya speaking at a meeting with school heads of the Kurunegala District held recently in Bingiriya.
