Bus plunges into stream

A bus plying on the Katugastota-Matale road plunged into a stream along with the bus shelter. There were no passengers or vehicles at this spot at the time of the incident.

Commuters travelling from Kandy to Akurana said that private buses stop at this halt for at least 10 to 15 minutes and the road has sunk due to soil erosion.

Commuters' pleas have fallen on deaf ears.
