Annites in innings win

St. Anne's College recorded their third outright win over St.
Xavier's College, Marawila division one cricket tournament match played
at UC grounds Ambepussa yesterday (16). St. Xavier's won the toss and
invited Annite's to bat first. Experienced batsman Mohommed Afsal hit
hard and scored superb 57 runs including three sixes and five
boundaries. All-rounder Shehan Cooray played well and scored 49 runs
helped Annite's their easy win.
St. Anne's: 1st innings - 232 all out (Mohommed Afsal 57, S. Cooray
49, Kotuwegedera 25, Malshan Perera 22, T. Maduranga 4 for 72, L.
Dilshan 3 for 32).
St. Xavier's College: 1st innings 80 all out (H. Chamalka 30, Malinda
Udesh 10/6, Malshan Perera 26/2, Yahan Dias 2 for 7).
St. Xavier's 2nd innings 110 all out (E. Zooza 62, Malshan Perera 5
for 29, Yohan Dias 5 for 30).
