Papyrus Papers goes for 'photo books'

Papyrus Papers (Pvt) Ltd has set up a subsidiary, Jamphoto, to produce 'photo books' in the photo imaging market.

The company has established links with two manufacturers of technical papers for photographic and digital printing processes, the Germany headquartered Felix Schoeller Group and TechNova of India, to set up its new subsidiary in the photo imaging industry.

Papyrus will dedicate its 4,000 square foot Papyrus Print Point in Bambalapitiya, which is equipped with a HP Indigo Digital Press, to the new venture, to produce an elegant photo book.

"Jamphoto's tagline of 'Everlasting beautiful stories' encompasses what the new venture seeks to do: document momentous events through high quality, custom-made photo books in several sizes, with pages made up of a range of special papers and substrates, purpose-designed binding and luxurious covers," a spokesman for the company said. "We are very excited by the prospects for Jamphoto," said the company Chairman and CEO. Ashan Abeyesundere.
