Airtel partners AIESEC for youth empowerment

Bharti Airtel has entered into a partnership with AIESEC Sri Lanka, to facilitate the core project for the year 2013, the Youth Empowerment Project (YEP 2.0).

This program, which was held at 10 institutions including SLIIT, IIT, ANC, APIIT, National Youth Services Council, BCAS, Western College for Management and Technology, Technical College, Maradana, Technical College, Ratmalana and the Ceylon German Technical Institute had over 1,000 students participating. These sessions were conducted by 50 undergraduates from various countries, who shared their experiences with the students.

The project also included a 'leadership day' where knowledge sharing sessions took place among the students.

CEO and MD, Airtel Lanka, Suren Goonewardene said, "Airtel Lanka is proud to have been the official telecommunication partner for the Youth Empowerment Project.
