Colombo Courtyard bags Asia Pacific Hotel award

Colombo Courtyard, the urban art boutique hotel was voted 'Best Hotel Interior' at the recently concluded Pacific Hotel Awards 2013. Companies from 19 countries took part.

The awards presentation was held at Shagri-La Hotel in Kuala Lumpur. Ninety-four awards were presented to all participating countries for a range of hotels from small to large and general to specialty.

The Colombo Courtyard offers a comfortable setting in a natural environment. Marking a year in operation the hotel comprises 32 rooms.

The use of sustainable environment-friendly material and recycled components such as brick floors, doors and planters, help differentiate this boutique hotel as one that encourages its visitors to care for nature.

It has bamboo privacy screens, decorative water features, natural ventilation across the lobbies and walkways, LED lighting and indigenous plant species for shade.
