Visakha Walk 2013, a huge success

'Visakha Walk 2013' organised by the Visakha Vidyalaya Old Girls'
Association was a hugh success on June 1 with over 5,000 participants
including past and present students and teachers. It was opened by the
Principal Sandamali Aviruppola and past principals.
The Walk which commenced from the School wended its way through the
streets, Havelock Road towards Thunmulla Junction, Reid Avenue, Thurstan
Road and Queens Road and returned to the school grounds via R.A. de Mel
Mawatha (Duplication Road). The rains did not dampen the spirit of the
youngsters.
The Walk marked the school's 95th anniversary. The proceeds of the
fund-raiser will be used to renovate the Jeremias Dias Hall.
