Rajans rout Kingswood

Dharmaraja College, Kandy, trounced their traditional rivals Kingswood College, Kandy by the big margin of 7-1 in their Kandy schools boys under-17 hockey tournament match organised by the Kandy District Hockey Association and played at the University grounds, Peradeniya. At half time the Rajans led 3-0.

Leading the goal spree for the Rajans was their prolific goal getter and centre forward Rameel Dharmaratne who tore into the opponents defence to notch up 3 goals. The other goals were scored by left extreme Sandeep Chamithara (2), centre half Chinthaka Jayansinghe (1) and centre forward Nadeesha Kamishka (1) for the Kingswoodian centre forward Sandun Ratnayake scored the solitary goal.
