Ode to Colonel Fazly Laphir

My dearest darling Fazly,
When I get numb with the
'Missing you' feeling
You roll in as a wave
And get me moving
Sometimes you arrive as the sunrise
Sometimes as the sunset
Clouds, bird or a butterfly
Winds that flow soft
You appear as Venus
The bright evening star
When sleep disappears
You smile as the moon from a far
One day you are there
as a hum of a song
On another
even as the 'blue' train's horn
You are the beautiful flower
That blooms in the terrace
Or the new colour
that appears in my palette
As a mild fragrance
on a frail day
A calm rhythmic prayer
after a hard way
I'm waiting for the day
that you'll come and say,
'I will not leave you.
I've come back to stay'
Your ever loving Ano
