Manoj helps Tamil Union

Tamil Union were bolstered by Manoj Sarathchandra's brilliant hundred
as the home team scored 362 runs for three wickets and declared the
innings against Colombo Cricket Club on the second day of the SLC
Division I Under-23 cricket match played at P Sara Oval yesterday.
Right handed Sarathchandra smashed an unbeaten 150 with fourteen
fours and couple of sixes. Sarathchandra and Test batsman Kithuruwan
Vithanage put on 120 runs for the third wicket and later on the former
St Anthony's College, Kandy right hander shared another 130 runs for the
fourth wicket with Sri Lanka 'A' all-rounder Pulina Tharanga, who was on
69 when Tamil Union declared the innings.
In reply, CCC lost three quick wickets within 15 overs as they were
at 78 for three by second day's stump.

Shehan, Chamath excel
Moors Sports Club's Shehan Jayasuriya and Leo SC's Chamath Gunasinghe
excelled at Braybrooke Place in another U-23 match yesterday.
Aggressive left handed Jayasuriya scored a brisk 90 off 84 deliveries
with nine fours and four sixes. Thenuka Dhanjaya took six for 37 and
Moors were bowled out for 218 in their first innings.
Leo SC were pathetically dismissed for 132 as left arm leg spinner
Chamath Gunasinghe ripped through the Leo SC' batting order taking seven
for 48. Moors were at 37 for no loss at second day's stump in their
second innings.

Lakshan Madusanka of Sri Lanka Army took a five wicket haul to
restrict Colts Cricket Club's first innings to 161 in their match played
at Colts grounds yesterday. At the end of the second day, Army were 160
