Etisalat to conduct staff training program

Etisalat has partnered with the Sri Lanka Institute of Marketing
(SLIM) for the third year to provide its freelance and permanent sales
staff with a free, nine-month diploma program in Professional Selling.
Head of Human Resources, Etisalat, Srinath Fonseka said, "Etisalat is
committed to providing its staff with the best opportunities to grow
professionally. The program was conducted to promote a culture of
professionalism. This helps our organisation to achieve business goals.
It is tool to uplift skills and inspire staff to achieve more in life."
"To be eligible for the program they have to sit for an aptitude
test, language test, and finally a five-question viva, in English.
Additional entry criteria considered is their overall performance,
punctuality and ability to do stand out from the rest."
"This is because what we want them to constantly strive to do things
differently and excel in what they do," he said. Etisalat, Chief Sales
Officer, Sanjeewa Samarasinghe said, "We decided to partner with a
recognised professional body which adds value to our employees and the
program has been designed to suit our business objective. We wanted it
to be a recognised qualification which the employees woul feel proud to
receive. This was the main reason for us to partner with SLIM." |
