Expolanka sponsors World Youth Day

The CSR arm of Expolanka Holdings PLC was associated with Youth Day 2013 which was celebrated concurrently with International Youth Day recently.

The United Nations Volunteers (UNV) contributes to peace and development by advocating for volunteerism globally, encouraging partners to integrate volunteerism into development programs and mobilising volunteers.

The theme of this year's Youth Day was 'Acts of volunteerism'. Expolanka's Head of Marketing, Corporate Communications and CSR, Paddy Weerasekera said, "It is with pleasure and responsibility that we as a company have always geared ourselves to share knowledge and appreciate the role of the volunteers. We will further assist them to stimulate and inspire more youth to be a part of future initiatives and also support the UN in their countless good efforts."
