King's Speech at Punchi Theatre
David Seidler's King's Speech directed by Tom Hooper will be screened
at the Namel Malini Punchi Theatre, Borella. on September 25 at 6.30
p.m.
It's a brilliant movie with a huge number of awards including the
Oscar for the best film. It is a powerful, hilarious and deeply moving
story, told against the backdrop of a critical juncture in modern
history, of the emergence of a deep friendship out of a professional
relationship between two men who would otherwise never have socially
interacted.
The screenplay is written by David Seidler (who also wrote Tucker:
The Man and his Dream). The dry British wit is hilarious and the
build-up to the climactic finale skillfully executed.
Colin Firth plays the role of King George VI and Geoffrey as Lionel
