Hasrath Munasinghe wins TOYP award

Deputy General Manager, Marketing of Commercial Bank of Ceylon, Hasrath Munasinghe was selected as one of the Ten Young Outstanding Persons (TOYP) in Sri Lanka at an awards ceremony organised by the Junior Chamber International (JCI).

Hasrath won the TOYP award in the 'Personal Improvement and Accomplishment' category.

Munasinghe began his career 19 years ago, as a school-leaver, when he joined MBC Networks. Progress up the corporate ladder saw him work at ABC Radio, Hemas Marketing, Dialog Axiata before joining Commercial Bank.

In addition to his responsibility of spearheading the marketing functions he also overlooks the Corporate Social Responsibility activities of the Bank while serving as a Trustee of the CSR Trust of Commercial Bank.

Munasinghe has over 15 years of senior management experience in Marketing, Sales and Communication.

He holds eight academic and professional qualifications including an MSC in IT from the University of Moratuwa and an MBA from the University of Southern Queensland (USQ), Australia.

He also holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Marketing from the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM), United Kingdom and is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM), UK and the Sri Lanka Institute of Marketing (SLIM).
