NDB extends banking hours

NDB has introduced extended banking hours at all branches islandwide offering the full range banking services until 6 pm on weekdays.

Customers can now enjoy the convenience of extended banking hours; while having access to a wide range of banking services such as fund transfers, utility bill payments, pawning, foreign currency exchange and remittances in addition to the traditional services such as cash and cheque deposits and withdrawals.

Chief Operating Officer of NDB, Indrajit Wickramasinghe said, "Although extended banking hours is not a novelty in the market, conventional banking services offered after-hours are limited to a few. NDB has revolutionised the industry by offering all banking services until late evening so that customers don't have to rush into the bank during lunch breaks to get their banking work done."

"We will be offering a wide range of personal banking services and business banking solutions such as issuing of Letters of Credit, loans, shipping and bank guarantees and granting of leasing facilities for the convenience of entrepreneurs and employed people," he said.
