Cyberknife brain surgery
Minura Laksitha Abeykoon Rathnayake, a Grade 10 student of Thurstan
College, Colombo, who underwent brain surgery performed by Consultant
Neuro Surgeon of Nawaloka Hosptial, Dr. Colvin Samarasinghe last year,
is in a critical condition with inability to walk due to a recurrent
brain tumour.
He has been advised to undergo immediate Cyberknife Surgery at the
Apollo Hospital, India which will cost over Rs. 1,500,000 Minura
Laksitha's father who has already spent all his wealth on his child's
illness seeks assistanc from the generous public. Those willing to help

AGM of St.Michael's Alumni
The Annual General Meeting of the St.Michael's College, Batticaloa,
Alumni Association, Colombo will be held on October 12 at Hotel
Sapphire, Galle Road, Colombo 6.
Holy Mass will be held at St. Lawrence's Church, Colombo 6,
commencing at 6.00 p.m. and followed by the meeting at 7.00 p.m. and
dinner. Michaelite Justice Nimal Dissanayake will be the chief guest.

Bible Quiz Awards ceremony 2013
The Department of Christian Religious Affairs of the Ministry of
Buddhasasana and Religious Affairs in collaboration with St. Joseph's
College, Colombo 10 will hold the Bible quiz competition awards ceremony
on October 12 at the Bonjin Hall, St. Joseph's College.
The competition will be held under the patronage of Most. Rev. Dr.
Oswald Gomis, Chancellor of University of Colombo and Archbishop
Emeritus, Most. Rev. Dr. Maxwell Silva, Auxiliary Bishop of Colombo,
Chairman of Catholic National Commissions for Education Catechetic and
