UPFA will score a resounding victory - Colombo district candidate Ajith Subasinghe

As an entrepreneur I decided to venture into politics since a political background is considered important to serve the people, said Colombo district candidate Ajith Subasinghe at a ceremony held at Gothatuwa to invoke blessings of the Maha Sangha.

He said, although I was not in the political arena, yet politicians of the fame of Economic Development Minister, Basil Rajapaksa and Tharunyata Hetak Organisation founder, MP Namal Rajapaksa are known to me very well.

A short while before the nominations were handed over, they invited me to contest the Colombo district on the UPFA ticket, as I am well fitted to the mould of politics, according to them.

My conviction is that the UPFA will definitely score a resounding victory at the forthcoming Provincial Council elections as evidenced by the enthusiastic welcome accorded to me by the voters. The blessings of the Maha Sangha is a source of strength to me to overcome whatever difficulties ahead of me and reach my set target to serve the people.Ven. Thihagoda Baddhiya Thera, Viharadhipathi Elhena Sri Rathanasara Viharaya and Principal , Kalapaluwawa Junior School were present.
