Gunasinghe (5 for 44) Shines for Antonians in drawn game

A fine spell of spin bowling by Anthonian skipper Nimesh Gunasinghe, who bagged five wickets for 45 runs in a spell of 16 overs helped his school register a first innings win by one-run in their 88th Battle of the Blues against Trinity College, which concluded at Asgiriya Stadium yesterday.

Nushan Weerasinghe scored highest scores for Trinity. He scored 55 with nine fours facing 98 deliveries. Ravin Sayer made an unbeaten 43 with six fours facing only 47 balls. Antonians scored 125 for the loss of 8 wickets in the second innings and declared. Trinitians were 27 for no loss in their second innings.
