Hong Kong's Honsuom Lion about to score a try with a Sri Lankan player about to foil him.

Sri Lanka's chances of remaining in the top plummetted when they were comprehensively beaten by Hong Kong by 41 points (six tries, four conversion, one penalty) to 10 (one goal, one penalty) in the second Asian Five Nations fifteen a side rugby encounter played at the Race Course grounds under light yesterday.

Sri Lanka after losing to Korea (59-3) fared better when they went down meekly to a superior outfit Hong Kong dominated play from the outset driving into rucks and mauls leaving the Lankans magnificent defending.

Sri Lankans lacked the profession and Hong Kong took advantage of the blunders. Their swift three-quarter line and the indomitable set of forwards combined to rattle the Lankans who hardly invaded the visitors ‘25'.

The visitors opened scoring from a penalty which fly half Christopher Mcadum slot over from 25 inches.

Hong Kong then missed two scoring opportunities first off a line-out which they could not convert into points due to the Sri Lankans’ defence.
