Syrian regime rains barrel bombs on Aleppo

Syrian forces rained barrels bombs on Aleppo as
they pressed a campaign against rebels in the northern city where
dozens have been killed this week, a monitor said. The Britain-based
Syrian Observatory for Human Rights also said jihadist fighters
executed 15 civilians in the northeastern province of Hasakeh.

India gang rapes: Police sacked over hanged girls

for refusing to help search for two missing girls who were later
found gang-raped and hanged, authorities say. One officer was
arrested while the other fled. Two of the suspected attackers have

satellite on Saturday that will be used to survey damage from
natural disasters and changes affecting rainforests. The Advanced
Land Observing Satellite-2 (ALOS-2) will be able to see scars left
