Burgher Association Cricket Sixes today
The annual Softball Cricket Sixes Tournament and Family Sports Day of
the Burgher Association will be held on Sunday 3rd August 2014 at
Campbell Park (Wesley College Ground, Colombo 08) commencing 8.30 a.m.
Fifteen teams from all parts of Colombo and the suburbs will contest
under the men's, ladies under 40 and men's over 40 categories.
The Oundray Ephraumh Memorial Challenge Trophy will be awarded to the
men's Under 40 winners while other challenge trophies and certificates
will be awarded to the winning teams of other categories.
Special awards will also be presented to the Best Batsman, Best
Batswoman, Best Bowler and Best All Rounder in each category.
An exciting friendly limited over cricket match between the Burgher
Association President's seven team against the Dutch Burgher Union team
is also on the cards.
Former national cricketer Jerry Woutersz will grace the occasion as
Chief Guest. |
