Former world number one Tiger Woods says he is “ready to go” ahead of
his 2015 season debut at the Phoenix Open. The 39-year-old 14-time major
winner played in only nine tournaments last year because of a back
injury.
As well as confirming his place for the start of the Phoenix Open on
26 January, Woods announced that he would play in the following week’s
Farmers Insurance Open at Torrey Pines. “I’m ready to go. Should be a
lot of fun,” Woods said on Twitter. Fellow Americans Phil Mickelson,
Jordan Spieth and Bubba Watson are among those who have already
committed to playing at the tournament in Arizona.
