SLT sponsors Ridee Reyak

Sri Lanka Telecom (SLT) was again the principal sponsor of Ridee Reyak, which was organised for the 12th consecutive year by the Cinestar Foundation.

It was held at the BMICH in December and was telecast on Rupavahini on December 31. Sri Lanka Telecom Ridee Reyak was held to raise funds for a medical scheme for local cinema artists, who are members of the Foundation.

SLT came forward to sponsor this much looked forward to event to empower Sri Lanka's arts and culture.

SLT Ridee Reyak 12 featured creative performances by popular local film stars, including Malini Fonseka, Sangeetha Weerarathne, Sabitha Perera, Veena Jayakody, Sriyani Amarasinghe, Sriyantha Mendis, Suraj Mapa and Manjula Kumari.

Under the theme of 'preserving heritage for tomorrow' the company has been supporting and fostering arts and culture apart from helping to protect the environment for over a decade.

SLT's annual calendar is based on a theme selected from the arts, culture or the environment.

In line with this, the company sponsors and associates with events and activities promoting the invaluable features and facets of Sri Lanka.
