Trinity break 51-year hoodoo by beating Joes

A fine team effort by Trinity College Kandy helped them to beat
St.Joseph’s College by 5 wickets after 51 years at Darley Road
yesterday.
Shanmuganathan Sanojith (7 for 35) and Raveen Sayer who had a match
bag of ( 6 for 93) were the architects of the Kandy schools win. It was
Trinity’s seven th win for the season.

Tharindu Ratnayake with a startling match bag of (15 for 59) bowled
S.Thomas’ College Mount Lavinia to an innings and 54 runs win in their
school cricket encounter against Wesley College at Mont Lavinia
yesterday.
The Wesleyites were all at sea as Ratnayake captured seven wickets in
the first innings and eight wickets in the second innings when Wesley
were made to follow on. – S. Thomas’ - beat Wesley by innings.
