A Million Blooms

Exhibition and demonstration of floral arrangements

The Shi-en Ikebana and Floral Art Society of Sri Lanka will hold it's annual floral exhibition at the Galadari Hotel on February 8 and 9 from 10.00 a.m. to 7.00 p.m.

There will also be a floral demonstration by Harijanto Setiawan from Singapore on February 8 at 5.00 p.m.

The exhibition titled A Million Blooms and proceeds will be used to buy medicine and equipment for the Thalassaemia unit in Kiribathgoda.

There will be over 70 arrangements of Western style and Ikebana displayed at this exhibition. Members have been busy preparing for this exhibition, which will showcase the talent of local flower arranger. Members have been guided by Harijanto Setiawan who is the Adviser of the Society.

Harijanto Setiawan is the winner of the President's Design Award Singapore (2013), the RHS Chelsea Flower Show Floral Arrangement Silver-gilt Award (2013), Singapore Garden Festival Floral Display Division Grand Prize (2012), Fusion Flowers International Designer of the Year The Third Place (2012), International Floral Art 10/11 Silver Leaf Award (2010).
