People's Bank introduces Money Planner accounts

The People's Bank offered an expanded portfolio of benefits to women to mark International Women's Day.

Women opening Vanitha Vasana Money Planner investment accounts will be entitled to attractive interest rates and a host of other benefits.

The Bank offers investment plans of Rs. 25,000, Rs 50,000, Rs. 100,000, Rs. 250,000, Rs. 500,000 and Rs. 1,000,000, with the values devised based on the amount invested over an year.

A Vanitha Vasana Money Planner account may be opened with Rs 2,422, and during the Savings Trimester, any number of such accounts can be opened by one person.

The Vanitha Vasana Savings Trimester ends on May 31.

The People's Bank will also offer customers discount vouchers to buy a Litro gas cylinder and accessories, or a Singer gas cooker during this period.

The advantage of the Vanitha Vasana Money Planner investment plan is that instead of setting aside a large sum of money at once, women can contribute a small, affordable amount each month, leaving themselves with a larger portion of their income for other expenses.

The Money Planner investment plan accounts can be opened at any of the People's Bank's 735 branches islandwide.
