Soul Quest at Lionel Wendt

Kavinda Silva's first solo exhibition of paintings 'Soul Quest' will be opened at the Lionel Wendt Art Gallery, Colombo 7 on March 20 at 5.30 p.m. It will continue till March 22.

Twenty-five years in music

Fernando and Fernando with Milano may sound like lyrics in a song.

Fernando and Fernando are musicians who will celebrate 25 years in music with a concert on March 29th at St. Sebastian's Church, Kandana.

Patrick Fernando, an accomplished keyboards player and Chandana Fernando, a vocalist and guitarist have been prominent figures in the music industry in the early years. But just 25 years ago they decided to form their own band and the result was Milano. A popular duo at Breeze Bar, Cinnamon Grand and other lending clubs in Colombo, in the outstations, Milano is in demand at many private parties and corporate events. Patrick Fernando's wide repertoire in music which he gathered over the years and Chandana Fernando's artistry as a multi-instrumentalist and as an impressive vocalist is a speciality that has added to the popularity of the duo. When the occasion demands Chandana's sister Chamila joins the duo in their performances.

Madura Javanika

Dayananda Gunawardane's Madura Javanika will be staged at the Lionel Wendt Theatre, Colombo 7 on March 22 at 3.30 p.m. And 7 p.m.

The cast includes Jackson Anthony, Bandula Wijeweera, Rodney Warnakula, Madhani Malwaththa, Rathnasheela Perera, Tharanga Kumari, Indika Jayasinghe, Wasantha Gunawardena, Buddhika Ranaweera and Jayanath Bandara.

Nari Bena and Jasaya Saha Lenchina

Dayananda Gunawardanage's Nari Bena and Jasaya Saha Lenchina will be staged at the Lionel Wendt Theatre, Colombo 7 on March 21 at 3.30 p.m. And 7 p.m. The cast includes Bandula Wijeweera, Rodney Warnakula, Sarath Kulanga, Tharanda Kumari, Ratnhasheela Perera, Sunil Thilakaratnhe, Nilmini Kottegoda, Jayanath Bandara and Indika Jayasinghe.
