According to industry statistics, Huawei with its exclusive national
distributor Singer Sri Lanka achieved this milestone because the new
Honor range catered to the mid-market with features on a par with
high-end smartphones.
During the launch in Colombo, Huawei positioned the product for the
discerningly bold, challenging the spirit of an individual and helping
them to "be who you are, and not who the world wants you to be".
Since its launch in May last year, Huawei's mid-range smartphone
family including, Honor 3C and Honor Holly has so far sold over 55,000
units in Sri Lanka. With the introduction of the G Play, 4X and the 6
Plus it is expected to triple sales volume..
Country Head, Huawei Devices, Sri Lanka, Henry Liu said, "We are
thrilled with the new statistics and even more happy to see how well the
local consumers have embraced it.
All Honor devices share three basic DNA qualities, smart image
technology, long battery life and remarkable craft. This is a perfect
match with the lifestyle of the discerningly bold."
Marketing Manager, Huawei Sri Lanka, Stanley Mascarenhas said, "We
invite customers to visit any of the Huawei outlets islandwide to
pre-order and gain first-hand experience of the new Honor smartphone
range".
Huawei is currently the number two smartphone brand in Sri Lanka and
is set to become the island's number one smartphone brand within the
next few quarters, he said. |
