Technical Manager, JLanka, Channa Mudhalige said that the company is
delighted to achieve the five GWh milestone with the installation of
over 750 solar energy systems islandwide since 2011.
"As a next generation solar service provider, we have installed a
large number of solar power systems over the past four years," he said.
According to Mudhalige, since its inception to date, JLanka's total
installed solar electricity capacity was over 3.75MW and would soon
reach the four MW mark. JLanka's vision towards a greener country has
reduced over 3,521 tons of CO2 (carbon dioxide) emissions which is
equivalent to saving 6,550 trees on the planet or over 1.352 million
litres of hydrocarbon fuel burned or 2,380 tons of coal for power
generation.
"We launched our journey with meticulously selected partners and the
world's best technologies. We are proud to partner global leaders in the
industry such as SolarEdge and Trina Solar which were selected after
many years of research, exploring and experimenting with suitable
inverter technology and solar panels to match grid conditions and
environmental conditions in Sri Lanka," he said. |
