AMW Top-30 Dealer Convention

Associated Motorways (AMW) held its annual Top 30 Dealer Convention of the tyre retreading sector at the Eden Resort and Spa Hotel, Beruwela, recently.

Senior Manager, Sales and Marketing, AMW, Nimal S. Ratnayake said, "Our tyre retreading department grew 30 percent in 2014. The secret behind this achievement was enhancement of our dealer network by 20 percent and the dedication of the dealers. In 2014, AMW introduced new products. We also launched a fresh and innovative promotional campaign which contributed to increased sales of retreaded and pneumatic tyres."

Marathon DAG and Marathon Radial Tyres secured a big share in the local market in 2014 due to the promotions carried out by AMW. Similarly, the quality of OTR tyres was enhanced using modern technology and that too contributed towards the increase of market share. AMW also introduced DAG tyres for forklifts and roller machines.

Group Managing Director, AMW, Samantha Rajapakse, the chief guest said a company is dependent on its dealer network for the sale of its products.

He said he is proud to associate with tyre retreading dealers and their families at least once a year.

"We will diversify our products in the near future and that will open more employment opportunities to the youth of this country," he said.
