IPM partners National Youth Development Bureau
IPM Sri Lanka - a professional body for human resources management -
was the Strategic Partner for the National Youth Development Bureau's (NYDB)
Rakiyabishekaya or Job Fair held recently.
Finance Minister Ravi Karunanayake was the Chief Guest.
The Job Fair hopes to provide a better future for youth by reducing
unemployment and poverty.

"Youth development, skills development and empowering human capital
is essential for a country's economic growth and social well-being of
its citizens.
As the premier professional body in the human resources field in Sri
Lanka, we understand the value of engaging with and empowering youth
with skills and vocational training to make them a productive resource
in Sri Lanka's emerging workforce towards achieving economic development
and growth objectives" said President, IPM Sri Lanka, Rohitha Amarapala.
"We are privileged to support the National Youth Development Bureau
Rakiyabishekaya program as its Strategic Partner and help uplift the
youth and we will support the program in the future as well," said
Council Member, IPM Sri Lanka, Chandra Gannile who was instrumental in
organizing the program with NYDB.
"The program has been set up to engage Sri Lankan youth in the
country's ambitious development drive over the next decade" said
Chairman, National Youth Development Bureau, Mohan Perera.
He said that several other youth development programs are lined up in
major provinces of the country with the strategic partnership of IPM Sri
Lanka as a national responsibility to citizens.
Personality Training and Skills Development Specialist Dr. Kuma
Iddamallena also conducted a workshop on how to develop talent and
personality to achieve a sustainable career. |
