"We are proud to be the only Best Western in Colombo, Sri Lanka. Conveniently located within close proximity to downtown Colombo attractions, our beautifully appointed rooms offer guests the conveniences of home. Perfect for business and leisure travellers alike, we understand the needs of guests and strive to provide excellent service," General Manager, Best Western, Renuke Coswatte said.

Elyon Colombo has a full service restaurant which serves local and international cuisine, an indoor gym and a bar that offers guests their favourite beverages.

"We are focused on providing guests a relaxing and comfortable experience and a host of amenities that makes the Best Western Elyon Colombo the perfect choice for families or business groups," he said.

"Our premier accommodation in a contemporary atmosphere includes a choice of twin, double or family rooms. All rooms come equipped with free, high-speed internet access, a 32" LCD TV, a mini-bar and other amenities.

Located along Sri Lanka's major freeway, Elyon Colombo is an ideal base for a family vacation.

Our business centre has facilities for guests travelling on business, Coswatte said.

The hotel is the newest member of Best Western International, the world's largest hotel chain. With over 4,000 hotels in 100 countries, Elyon Colombo is committed to provide guests warm and friendly service meeting international standards associated with the brand.

"The close proximity to medical tourists arriving to local hospitals and also for our fantastic rooftop view has been our main selling points. Most of the guests are from China, India, Seashells, the Maldives and also Sri Lankan expatriates. However, this changes from season to season," he said.

Advertising is mostly through Best Western international advertising and marketing and local advertising that we do. There is also a strong push from on-line channel marketing for rooms. "We hope to establish the Best Western brand name in Sri Lanka with other projects and become the preferred place for food and beverage choice in the local market," Coswatte said.
