Arawwawala - President, IIESL

Eng Jagath Arawwawala was inducted as the 25th president of the Institution of Incorporated Engineers, Sri Lanka (IIESL) at its Annual General Meeting at the Sri Lanka Foundation recently.

He is a product of Royal and Nalanda Colleges, Colombo. Having completed his engineering studies in London he returned to Sri Lanka after 15 years in the early 90s to join Diesel and Motor Engineering Co.

He was Director and General Manager at Computerlink Ltd., and GM and CEO at Polycrom Electrical Industries.

He is a production engineer with over 25 years experience in the engineering field and a practitioner of ergonomics in the manufacturing industry. He is a Fellow of IIESL and holds memberships with IET, ILM, PMA, UK, Engineers Guild of Sri Lanka and an OPA centre member.

He holds a MBA in Strategic Management. He is also involved in the organising comittee of INCO, the annual industrial exhibition of IIESL and is an acclaimed compere.
