
Double hand transplant performed on child
An eight-year-old American boy who lost his hands and feet due to a
serious infection has become the youngest patient to receive a
double-hand transplant.
Zion Harvey's forearms were still heavily bandaged but his hands were
visible as he flashed some big smiles for the camera at a hospital news
conference. He described waking up with new hands as "weird at first,
but then good."
Froome wins Tour de France again
British cyclist Chris Froome has won his second Tour de France title
in three years. Froome cycles for Team Sky and the victory was the
team's third Tour triumph in four years after Bradley Wiggins won in
2012, and Froome took the title in 2013.
This year's Tour de France developed into a four-way battle among
Froome, Quintana, Alberto Contador and Vincenzo Nibali, but then became
a two horse race between Froome and Quintana after the other two
struggled in the Pyrenees.
New qualification for Duchess of Cambridge
The Duchess of Cambridge never fails to surprise us! Duchess Kate
recently gained a new qualification.
She is now an advanced scuba diver! Kensington Palace recently
confirmed that Kate has passed a Professional Association of Diving
Instructors advanced open water diver qualification. Kate can now dive
to a depth of 30 metres.
Her husband, Prince William is also a fine diver. Prince William is
now the third generation of the monarchy to head the British Sub-Aqua
Club, following his father and grandfather.
