Trinity Lion goes to Jayasinghe

Trinity College cricketer Arjuna Bandara Jayasinghe was awarded the Lion for his exploits on the field by his school principal Colin Ratnayake. Some of the recipien ts of the award in the past were Kumar Sangakkara, Ravi Ratnayake, Niroshan Dikwella and Akila Jayasundera.

Popularly known as AB, Jayasinghe was a Sri Lanka Under-19 poolist and has represented Trinity College from junior level as a front-line batsman. He had four seasons of First Eleven cricket from 2012 to 2015 and toured Malaysia and India with the College team.

Jayasinghe was also a junior tennis champion, athlete and swimmer.
