'Senehasa' report out soon

Investigations into allegations on the Army- managed 'Senehasa' Education Resource Research and Information Centre for Children of military families are to be completed soon. "The final report will be submitted to the Army Commander, Lieutenant General Chrishanthe de Silva within the next few days," said Military Spokesman Brigadier Jayanath Jayaweera.

Allegations were raised about children in the 'Senehasa' Centre being continuously abused and on irregularities of the institution.

The Centre is situated in Matha road, Narahenpita and was set up to serve psychologically disabled children of families of war heroes. A three- member Board was appointed by Lt. Gen. Chrishanthe de Silva to investigate these allegations, in addition to the inquiry conducted by the Military Police.
