SLCB promotes MICE tourism in Singapore

The Sri Lank a Convention Bureau (SLCB) and SriLankan Airlines carried out a MICE promotion with industry members in Singapore recently.

The target was meeting planners, incentive houses and corporates in Singapore. The promotion took place at the Regent, Singapore with one-on-one meetings and an evening interactive session. Over 100 Singapore MICE buyers in Singapore met 10 industry members from Sri Lanka with SLCB and SriLankan Airline officials.

Most of the buyers had not considered Sri Lanka as a venue for MICE activities hence the need to create awareness and interest to chose Sri Lanka.

This was also an opportunity for us to showcase the recent developments in the country with new locations that have been opened for MICE activities, said CEO, SLCB, Vipula Wanigasekera.
