Not so Ezy as Mike Young's car topples

Cusco Ezy Racing's Mike Young and co-driver Malcolm Read who clocked 2:04.59 were placed fourth on day one of the FIA - Asia Pacific Rally Championship here in Longyou, China yesterday.

Young was on number two and three spots in the special stages from one to five. However, in the fifth stage his car toppled on a hill while driving on a gravel track. The accident affected Young's overall ranking on the first day.

Commenting on the situation Young said that there was a problem in the power steering of his vehicle and that may have been the reason for the mishap.

He said he couldn't understand what was happening but that there were possible chances of increasing the points and ranking.

Team MRF's Swedish Driver Pontus Tidemand and his co-driver Emil Axelsson were the overall leaders in the Standings with a timing of 1:28.35 minutes.
