Anuradhapura Airmen pocket golf title

The Air Force 'B' team from Anuradhapura comprising LAC Kumara, CPL Madhusanka and LAC Karunarathna won the inter-unit team event at the inaugural golf tournament held at the Eagle Catalina Golf Course at Koggala, Galle yesterday.

Commander of the Air Force Air Marshal Gagana Bulathsinhala opened the new club house and gave away the awards.The Air Force A team from China Bay were first runners up while the team from Morawewa were third.

LAC Kumara won the Open event while Squadron Leader P Godage won the over-45 event.

LAC Indunil won the award for the longest drive while CPL Madhsanka won the award for the closest shot to the pin.

Airwoman LAC Weerabahu was adjudged the upcoming women's player of the tournament.
