Sri Lankan wins Stevie Gold Award
Sri Lankan-born entrepreneur Susantha Shan Halamba, CEO of
Texas-based Ceyhinz Link International, Inc., won the Gold Stevie Award
under the category of Executive of the Year (management award category -
All Other Industries).

According to the organizers, Halamba is the first person of Sri
Lankan origin, to win a Stevie Award.
Nicknamed the Stevies from the Greek word 'crowned', the awards were
presented at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Toronto, Canada.
President and Founder of the Stevie Awards, Michael Gallagher
presented the award to Shan Halamba. Close to 300 executives from over
30 countries were present.
The Stevies recognize outstanding performances in the workplace
worldwide. It's the world's only international, all-encompassing
business awards program.
Stevie winners were selected from over 3,700 nominations received
from organizations and people in over 60 countries. Over 200 executives
worldwide participated in the judging process this year to determine the
winners.
One of the judges said, "It is obvious that the USA can learn farming
techniques from Sri Lanka in the face of a growing food crisis. Shan is
an industrious leader making a difference worldwide and an example of a
great product that has been developed and driven by an individual, and
which now spans over 30 countries," |
