'Back to School' at Ananda Balika

The Old Girls' Association of Ananda BalikaVidyalaya Maradana organized a nostalgic event titled 'Back to School' at the school premises, under the patronage of Principal Anoma Dahanayake.

More than 800 old girls and 50 past teachers including former principal Rukmani Gunawardena and old girl Dr. Neelamani Sandaya Rajapaksha, Director Ministry of Health, were present at the event.

'Visit Britain and the GREAT Britain campaign'

Bond is back in SPECTRE and 'Visit Britain and the GREAT Britain' campaign is once again utilizing 007's iconic international profile to show the world what makes Britain great.

The British High Commission in Colombo, James Dauris hosted an event at Westminster House with Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe in attendance, Ministers, MPs and members of the Colombo Arts scene were also present.

The evening highlighted the international success of Britain's creative industries, featured British brand Jaguar Land Rover and was supported by Omega. The film will be distributed in Sri Lanka by Liberty Lands and Developments and Tanweer films.

The British High Commissioner spoke of the excellence of British design, innovation and manufacturing.
