Japan maritime defenders to call at Colombo Port
Two ships belonging to the Japan Maritime Self Defence Force,
deployed in counter-piracy operations, will be visiting the Colombo
Harbour from November 27. According to the Colombo Japanese Embassy this
is the fiftieth Port Call to Colombo harbour since 2009.
The two defenders are JS Akizuki (DD-115) and JS Sawagiri (DD-157).
The two defenders are to be deployed for counter-piracy operations off
Somalia and Gulf of Aden. -DY |
