14 teams contest limited overs tourney

The Premier Inter Club limited overs cricket tournament will start onNovember 27 with 14 teams competing in two groups.

Defending champions Colts, Ragama CC, NCC, CCC, Ports Authority, Saracens and Tamil Union will be in one group while runners-up of last year SSC, Moors, Army SC, Bloomfield, Badureliya SC,Chilaw Marians and Galle CC (promoted team) will contest the other group.

First round will be played on a league basis and the group champion and second team will move into the semi finals. First round matches will be played on November 27, 28, 30 and December 2, 8, 9, 15 and 16. The semi finals will be held on December 23 and 24 and final on December 30.

While Galle Cricket Club entered the top division this year, Air Force SC were demoted to low level last year.
